How to Use
To use, heat the desired amount of ArtGel over a heat source or in short bursts in the microwave until it is liquid. Then place in a mould, veiner, lace mat or brush over wafer paper to create edible, flexible decorations.
ArtGel can be coloured using any good gel paste or flavoured using a concentrated flavouring.
What ArtGel Can Do
If you want to make leaves and petals quickly and easily, melt the ArtGel and pour into a veiner. Wait till it dries, cut off the excess and you will have ready-made, edible leaves or petals in a colour of your choice!
ArtGel can be brushed onto wafer paper so that the wafer paper becomes flexible, like fabric. This means it won’t snap and allows you to create edible pictures, bows, ruffles and other decorations that won’t crack or break. It also means that your ArtGel will have the same design as whatever is printed on your wafer paper, allowing you to customise your own decorations.
It can also be used in or over moulds to create shapes such as bubbles and balloons. Simply pour the liquefied ArtGel over a sphere or half sphere mould to get your shape.
To create a glass/mosaic effect, create a pattern with some colour on a clear background. Wait for the ArtGel to dry and then do the same with another pattern. Once that has dried, you can stick the 2 together to form a mosaic style decoration.
Artgel can be used to make edible lace. Simply spread the gel (when in a liquid state) over your lace mat, then wait for it to dry. Remove the ArtGel and you will have edible lace that you can decorate the tops and tiers of your cakes with.
ArtGel can also be used as an ingredient to form a mirror glaze. Take 50g water, 96g sugar and 2 tsp of glucose and mix them together. Add 12g of ArtGel and mix. Then add 70g condensed milk and 105g white chocolate, heat to 35 degrees and you will have a beautiful mirror glaze.
